Santa Fe
Writing by Rich on April 26, 2007
Santa Fe, to me, is one of those “nice places to visit but you wouldn’t want to live there.” Sky-high real estate prices are just part of it. At over 7,000 feet in elevation, it’s not the warm desert climate we’re looking for. And I thought Northern Californians were over the edge when it came to their new-age ways; I’d pit the residents of Santa Fe against them any day.
Having said that, Santa Fe has incredible architecture, great restaurants and plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation. If you can afford it, can handle the above caveats and don’t mind all the tourists and traffic, it could be the city for you.
